Common Questions

Plan Set FAQs

Why do I need stamped plans?

Most California cities require a PE-stamped structural letter and/or electrical drawings before they will issue a solar permit. Without them, your permit application will be rejected or placed on hold.

What information do you need from me?

Just your property address and the proposed system size (or your installer's proposal). We handle the satellite analysis, shading review, and all engineering from there.

How long does it take?

Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days after we receive your project information. Rush service (1–2 business days) is available — ask when you submit.

Will these plans be accepted by my city?

Yes. Our plans are designed to meet California Building Code (CBC) and NEC requirements and are accepted by all California AHJs. If a plan checker has a revision request, we handle it at no additional charge.

Can you work with my installer?

Absolutely. We regularly coordinate with solar installers throughout California. Your installer can submit our plans directly to the city along with their permit application.
